Northamptonshire invests in tobacco

County Hall investing in Starbucks, eBay, Nintendo and McDonald’s to provide pension cash for Northamptonshire workers – Local – Northampton Chronicle & Echo.

Northamptonshire Council pension fund has significant investments in tobacco companies, a local FOI request has revealed.

 

More than £9 million has been ploughed in tobacco companies, including British American Tobacco (£5.2 million), Japan Tobacco (£3 million), Lorillard (£700,000) and Imperial Tobacco (£422,000).
